I’ve got big news people, and I’m talking BIG, as in capital B. I. G big! As in I’m totally flattered big. And totally scared big. That’s just how big I’m talking about. When I got the news I remember my heart pounding with excitement, but then the heart stopped pounding, and dropped about 50 feet, as I thought Oh. My. God. Because my post on GALLEY GOSSIP, the one I wrote about yesterday right here on my blog, the one titled Answer Please! is being promoted by AOL tomorrow on the main page. THE MAIN PAGE, people! (WOO-HOO!) But with that big news came the reminder that a significant number of comments will start rolling in within the hour. Yeah, I thought that sounded pretty good, too. But that reminder was followed by this reminder…there are a lot of bad eggs out there, so don’t let the negative comments get to you. (Gulp.) Negative? Really? Oh no. Guess that just comes with the territory. Guess that’s just to be expected. (Deep breath) Okay. I think I’m ready. I think.
I went to the site -it’s there! woohoo!!! way to go!!
I looked around a bit while I was there, and I did see in a different section, “Comments from our readers” and the headlined comment WAS ONE OF THOSE COMMENTS WHERE THE PERSON TYPES IN ALL CAPS IN A SLIGHTLY RUN ON SENTENCE SO IT LOOKS LIKE THEYRE SHOUTING EVEN THOUGH IT WASNT REALLY SHOUTING AND WHAT THEY WERE SAYING WASN’T PARTICULARLY MEAN. THEY JUST LEFT CAPS LOCK ON AND COULDN’T BE BOTHERED TO TURN IT OFF MAYBE THEY WERE EXCITED ABOUT SOMETHING ELSE OR MAYBE THEY HAVE AND EASIER TIME READING ALL CAPS IN A BIG BLOCK LIKE THIS?
anyway. congratulations and don’t let the ALLCAPS crowd get to you!
