Hotel Review: Casa De Palmas Rennaisance – McAllen, Texas

Located in McAllen, Texas on the southern tip of the Texas/Mexico border, the Casa De Palmas Hotel is just waiting to be enjoyed.   The hotel looks  like a private Hacienda  with a  captivating boutique  feel.  Built in 1918, this 57 room, Spanish designed building  became a Texas Historic Landmark in 1979.  Now boasting 165 rooms and 21 suites, the hotel has a meeting and conference center, ballroom, exercise club and has been the venue for weddings and special events. 

After undergoing an  $8 million dollar renovation, the Casa De Palmas is a unique  historic  hotel with a friendly, professional staff.  From the moment I stepped onto  the property, I knew this small Texas town had a very special treasure. Mexican tile floors throughout the lower level led to a  spiral winding stairway.  The entire hotel had been decked out in red and green Christmas colors.  White twinkle lights added a festive look to my holiday stay….
