I hope that completing the book goes well for you (It IS a chore). Of course you must do a couple of rounds of your own copy editing, but please do not neglect the necessary step of having an outside copy editor review your text. You are way too close to your own work to catch all of the copy errors – You Wrote It! An independant editor is worth every dime and the professional review will make you and your work look even better. The ideal (outside) copy editor is one who knows nothing about the subject and is curious. They are professionals is their field, just as we are in our own fields and they are literally worth their weight in gold. OK, get a small one! Best wishes for the book.
